Sounds like your linkage has a problem. Check under the hood, drivers side firewall. Make sure that all of the linkage is in place. Could be just a loose connection.

can you get into gear at all even with the car shut off?
If you can't it very possibly could be your tranny gears or bearings... mine cost $85 for an 01 and I did it myself with a press in a day ( keep in mind I'm a girl and not as fast as some of you guys out there)
If you can with the engine shut off but not on check your clutch..... highly unlikely though because you can get into your other gears.....
so I would bet more on tranny

Try bleeding the clutch and flushing out all the old fluid replacing it with new.

How is your clutch? How many miles are on the clutch? Do you drive hard? Powershift?

i really cant see this being a clutch problem since you do get 3 out of 5 gears. I would say a linkage since the two you dont get happen to be right in the center. Did you check the throw under the console?

Yes the linkages are hooked up right, and the throw under the console is good. Is their a way to adjust the linkages? But i dont think that it is a linkage problem.

I dot think there is anything that adjusts linkages. Maybe it just is coincidence that its the center ones but it could just be the tranny. Maybe bad syncro's. Have you tried with the car off yet like blythetrynity suggested?
