Holy crap, that was a tough search. "The site" has been down for an upgrade this past weekend and not all the info has been moved to the new server and I had a hell of time trying to find "backdoors" to this link!
...but I found it, wooo hooo, lol.
Anyway, here it is.

Here's another link to a 2.4 swap. This one was easier to find for some reason.

Odd that it allows the first part of the link. Anyway...
I hope that helped in your decision or at least gave you more options for your car. I personally would drop a 4g63 head (and everything else that's needed of course), and convert to AWD.

doing some more reading , do i have this correct ?
all i have to do is change my pistons plug off a few holes and my bottom end is done ?

so for about 400 bucks "in parts" the bottom end of my motor would be ready ?

I believe your $2-$3k estimate is more obtainable for a total motor if not for less $. If it's done the DIY way :D

after i am done of the 2.4 vert.. to go AWD i would just need a gas tank rear drivetrain and a transfer case ? or do i have to swap out the tranny i have now?

whats your thoughts on me finding a wreaked tsi talon and swaping the whole drive train motor tranny out ?

i might look around for one of these b4 i start with the 2.4 , if i have no luck i will just start buying one part at a time for the 2.4 vert

i see someone on here has a head for sale , i am gonna dig up the the thread and maybe you can tell me if its what i need for a head, if it is i will buy it in a few weeks ;)

There are pages of info on this swap. It's a really long read and you gotta push past the BS, but a good read nonetheless.

*wrong link, lol. Let me find it again.

Zod posted the write up for this swap.

63 tranny works just fine, you'll need that tranny for the transfer case.

The motor can knowingly handle 400hp in stock form. Some 4g63 motors are freaks of nature and maybe able to handle more, that's up to you to find out, lol.
HP is only limited on the build, turbo size, fuel, air, and management. Those will be up to you

Here's the actual link that I was looking for. I had a few opened up and I think I grabbed the wrong one, but here's the one.
