I am going to be getting a turbo timer, and I was wondering if the HKS Type-I would work with my stock alarm system, because I heard HKS was the only company that made a turbo timer compatable with the stock alarm system?

Hmmm, don't know, I have a greddy sitting at home (at school right now) but when I put it in I guess I'll find out about that. On this topic does anyone know anything about the stock alarm system? My security light will come on when I lock up the car but I don't know anything about it, no remote or anything, didn't know it was there when I bought the car, lol.

nah it will arm only once the car turns off.....its a safety feature so that the alarm doesn't arm while you're driving down the road....or trap you inside your car afraid of the loud noise....lol

I didn't really see how it would tie in with it but I wasn't sure, good to know I won't have to worry about that when I'm putting it in.

I know that the Greddy one is not compatable with the stock alarm, that's why I'm asking about the HKS

I run the Apexi "pen" style TT. Once I remove the key I lift the door handle on the inside and lock the door. The security light comes on and the car will still idle. Once the TT counts down it will stop and your car will NOT start beeping.

*side note*
If your car does happen to start honking uncontrolably simply put your KEY in the lock and manually lock it first then manually unlock it. All with the key NOT the button on the security piece.
