Howdy all, new to the forum. I'm currently a mazda enthusiast, but my first car was a turbo galant. I've got a Q that maybe some of you folks can answer. My friend recently blew the 6g72 8 valve 3.0 litre v6 in his diamante. He got it back today and we were checking out the new engine. I believe its a 24 valve dohc engine out of a non turbo 3000gt, but the valve cover says cyclone?!?. I know the JDM 4g63 had a cyclone intake on some of the engines. Was a cyclone v6 an option and does anyone know what car it may have come from. I don't think its a USDM engine. Thanks.
The cyclone engine is off of the FTO if I am not mistaken. Diffently not a USDM. I wonder how it got in there?
No- they couldn't have- if they did, they would have been really unreliable and rice!
So let me get this straight. Because they used Mitsubishi engines this made it rice and unreliable? Dodge Chrysler just to name a few used Mitsubishi Engines. Alot of manufacter use Mitsubishi parts. Half the turbo set ups out there use a Mitsubishi turbo. Here are some examples...
3000GT--- Dodge Stealth, Mitsubishi engine 6G73 used in the Diamante--Dodge Avenger--and the Chrysler Sebring. Eagle Talon--Mitsubishi Eclipse 4G63. Just to name a few.

Not true- where are your sources? Did this come word of mouth?
Well, I'm not them by any means, but I'm willing to bet that they got their information from actually looking under the hoods of said cars.... It is true.
lol, Well tell me young JediMaster where are you getting your information from? Like Disciple said I am getting my info by actually working on cars and my years of experience.
Tell you what. I see that manybrews is on this board too. He is a Mitsubishi mechanic if it is the same manybrews that I know. He can probally tell you a good number more of examples that I have not.
an 8v V6 eh....thats pretty amazing....but basicly u should research befor u post....and the intake might have been swaped on there....because i currently have a cyclone intake sitting in my room awaiting to be put on my hybrid which is sitting right by it....
If anyone knows where i can fine myself a 95' EPROM ECU from a GSX or GST pleas let me kno...thats all im waiting on to swap my motor in
Chrysler no longer uses mitusishi or vice versa it was either 97 or 98 the eclipse no longer had chrysler engines
I never seen a GM with a Mitsu Engine but then again i work for mitsu and not GM
now i'm a proud American but i have to say this, just about any american car is built in either mexico or canada now how American is that ?
where on the other hand a good portion of the (RICE) cars are built right here on our soil so
which cars are really American cars,
I do know that My Big Block Chevelle is American because it was built with My 2 American born Hands In my American soil based garage with all American Manufactured parts and paid for with US In God We Trust Dollars
food for thought
