I have a water leak somewhere in the rear section of the car, my spare tire well fill up with water does anyone have a clue where this would come from.

It could be the weather stripping on the hatch.  My car does the same thing in heavy rain.

haha, when i first read this i thought you meant your rear tire as in the one you drive on... i was like wtf lol.. but yea, replace the weather stripping, thats the cheapest thing to check

back on topic.
check ur heater hoses. there are behind the plinum and intake conects to firewall and metal tubes run on right side of motor to radiator.
NOTE- if ur ganna take off the intake. dont take off intake n plinum off sepratly. take off together. u gatta get underneath the car, n ull c the bolts.

When I bought my eclipse it had a nice zide dent on the rear quater panel righ tbelow the gas tank. The dent caused the seam in the metal to leak water into the trunk. When you open the lid for the gas tank there is a seam that goes all the way around the inside by the gas cap. The factory seals is with some clear stuff and if that is damaged you will leak water into your trunk.

Thanks for the info it leaks in the hatch area that end up in my place where the spare tire is stored,its also has a sunroof do think the drain tube could be bad or the seal around the sunroof

have someone sit in the car while you run a hose over your hatch area, then you'll be able to see exactly where's its leaking from

Make sure the drains on the sides of the hatch where the lift struts attach are clean. If they are pluged water will pool up next to the hatch weather stipping and follow the easiest path down.....Cleaned mine with a piece of #16 wire.

i had that, and i just drilled two holes in the plug under the spare and i don't have that anymore.
