how much would it cost to replace my front wheel bearings and head gasket (I'm leaking oil but not sure where) in a 1998 eclipse at a shop?...i really dont feel like doing it by myself.

it would be way cheaper to do it your self, but i have no clue....their is always the option of calling a shop and get a quote

The wheel bearing should be somewhere around $400-500 assuming they dont have any issues. And the head gasket i guess would be around $800-1000

A head gasket on a 420 is abt 8hrs so roughly $600 for labor there and the labor time for one wheel bearing is 1.3 hrs so since your doing both your looking at 2.5 hours abt $200.00 in labor alone.  For everything w/ parts your looking at close to 1k in parts and labor.

yea that seems like a big waste of money to me if you're capable of doing the work but just dont feel like it

WOW...didnt realize how much it would cost, I think I'll think about ordering the parts and doing it myself.  as for the head gasket, I dont think I could do that part of it.
