When cold car starts immediately,  sometimes when warm and car has been sitting for a short while (30 minutes or less) car will crank but will not start.  If I let the car sit and keep trying car eventually starts.  Occassionally I smell gas like its flooded. Another possibly related issue is that RPM's at idle are around 1200 when they should be around 800.  This is an intermittent problem.  Its been suggested to me that this may be caused by a bad fuel regulator.  Any one experience a similar proble? Does someone know what the problem may be?
