Woohoo..

All of those useless parts that Ive been putting away...  Can finally be used!!!

Im leaving tomorrow night to go pick up my newly aquired 99 GSX..

The timing belt broke on it, so the head is damaged for sure.  But the car is in good shape, other then the right front fender.  It has a little unpainted bondo on it.  Ill be posting up plenty of pictures when I get it back home Saturday/sunder.

Im getting it for 3grand..  Its white 99 GSX. Dark leather interior.  All stock I believe, cept some aftermarket rims.  Im gonna be parking it next to my GST in the garage and take parts off that.  Im gonna throw the 20g turbo on there, until I sell my spyder..  Once I sell the spyder Im gonna be going with the fp 3065 turbo/dsm link and supporting mods.  Then when I sell the GST after its back to stock, Im gonna be stroking a 6 bolt motor.    When its all done, Im hoping to be at or above 500 whp..

Right now, I have a Venom intake manifold, AEM fuel rail, SS fuel lines, fpr, 850 Injectors, Comp Cams(Comparable to the 272's), springs, retainers, front mount(On the GST), Hard piping(On the GST).  I will eventually lower it, but for the time being its keeping the stock ride height.  I want to get it so I can drive it this spring, and slowly swap stuff over when I get the time.  But right now Im just pumped to get it in my driveway.!

Oo, and I already have a rebuilt head sitting in the garage!  So I just need a head gasket now..

But I prolly wont do all of this until we get the "Project Talon" done..  Once I get the talon running, then Ill start messin with this.  Hopefully in a couple of weeks.

you realize with a $100 head gasket and some time put in you could (depending on milage) triple what you are paying for that car right?

Ya..  This is really my dream car though..  I know..  A running 99 GSX is a hell of a deal for about $3500..   I figure it will cost me about that after I spend the money in gas to pick the thing up..  But ya, if I was gonna sell it again, I figure I could make 3-4g on it..    It has 140,000 miles..  But I will prolly put in a rebuilt motor within a year so the milage isnt a big deal to me.

There is some bondo work on the right front fender..  Other than that, he said just the usually curb rash on the front and back bumper..   So im hoping its not rusted      They just got dumped with a ton of snow the other day though..  Thats why the thing is burried in snow..

Advocate, you interested in selling some stuff from your GS-T?? I'm gonna be in the market for about anything I can get my hands on...doing dome major upgrades and work to mine this year and I can't wait! Unless I go buy my buddie's '99 GS-X he just picked up with 40k on it.

Mine wont even be close to emonz for atleast a year..  When I put that 20g on it, Im gonna keep the boost down a bit, till I get use to the car and see how it reacts to everything.  I wont be turning it up till I get it tuned perfect.   But when I sell my GST and go with the 3065 turbo, then I should be up there ;)  And I might shreff, but I wont know till I start digging into this gsx first.  As of right now, I dont really have anything I want to sell, just b/c Ill prolly be putting some of it on my GSX.  But Ill let ya know.

1) to bad it is prolly sold.
2) in my cars current state after he is done he would be fast
3) we live nowhere near each other
4) if I were keeping you can count on it that a year from now it will be even deeper into the HP than it is now. 
 
 
I got it to 400 last summer.  This summer it was going to be 500 but the car is prob sold.   a 500HP Evo with my setup will run very very VERY close to high 10s.  and yea thats just talking this year so with one more year you could bet I would have a built block and be making alot more than that later
 
plus you wanna see DSMs that are faster than my DAMN EVO go look around man there are millions,  hell there are millions of Evos faster than my evo.   HELL there are hondas faster than my Evo

i wouldnt want to admit that but i would of liked to see a vid of your evo vs that kind of setup. but like you said if you have it for another year it will just be ridiculous fast. high 10's man i wish i could feel that power. my gst will never be there. so im saving for either gsx or evo. of course id rather have an evo but gsx's are cheaper. just need to keep saving.

why would you not want to admit to wanting to see my Evo lose a race?  who cares man.   I dont,  I know there are much faster cars out there than mine lol.   Yet in my area there isnt much on the streets that condents very well yet I know they are out there.   I used to live in Tampa Fl.  My Evo is considered slow for Tampa lol.  600-700-800-1100 HP supras cruising around and everything else you can think of from 3 wheels cars to lambos and ferrari's to high HP hondas and skylines ive seen them all
