Some folks really like the fact that there are tweeters on the 2g Eclipse dash (same with the Avengers). I never cared for them but someone may want to replace them anyway, plus, if the stock ones are blown.... This is for you guys/girls. The replacements are fairly inexpensive too. They wire up just like stock, they fit on the stock tweeter grill and more importantly, they work

I bought a pair of these from Ebay.

Do a search on ebay for "Bose 301 speakers" or "Bose 501 speakers" and look for the ones that do not have mounting plates on them (Series II).
Bose Part Number: 116088

They fit in the dash absolutley perfectly, as we all know the standard size 3.25" speakers always hang over a little bit, and wont work with the stock grills.

With these speakers, you can take the metal grills off of your Stock dash speakers and put them right onto these speakers. This way you can keep the stock look, but still upgrade your sound system.

They sound EXCELLENT, very clean highs, very high wattage handling. I had them running on about a 50 watt RMS/channel system, I did not try them with the stock finity amp, but I'd imagine they would sound perfect. They do have a tendancy to be a little louder than the other speakers, so if you only have 2 channels to run your front door AND dash speakers, wire them up in as last in series with the front door speakers, and it should balance them out. If you have them on their own dedicated channels, just turn the gains down a little, if they are louder than the other speakers.

Not that it's bad to be loud :) But you want it to be balanced with your other speakers.

Might want to make this a sticky, as I know it's been asked many times already, for people looking for replacement dash speakers that are good quality/fit.
