I am thinking of buying an 01 montero XLS for my girlfriend it only has 60,000 miles on it. What I am wondering is on the dash under the little wheel gauge thing only the back right wheel is lit up green. Is this normal for this year or should the back two wheels be lit up. The reason I ask is when you give it gas it makes a small whine noise from that side. Thanks for all of your help and if I do buy it I will be on this site a lot. Thanks again. Joe

The two lights for the rear wheels tend to burn out after while. Take the instrument cluster off and get a new light bulb for the light that is burned out. Or grab one from something that doesn't really matter, like the light for the "Low" transmission position indicator.
