i need a new hood for my car should i just go back stock or should i go with a CF hood? i guess after i buy a new one primer paint it will cost the same but do you guys agree or not? what did your guys CF hood cost? Thanx for any info!

You can find an inexpensive carbon fiber hood on ebay. I saw some that were $250. But im not sure on the quality of them. What color is your car

Are you looking for a carbon fiber hood or stock hood. I might be able to help you with the stock hood. Pretty soon im gettin a carbon fiber hood and im gonna be gettin rid of my hood if you wanna buy mine. Its a black hood

if your going to buy a new hood either way, i would go with cf, if your just going to paint the one you got black that would be cheaper, but if i was going to buy a cf hood i would get one that is vented instead of getting a cf stock. the other thing is you will want to make sure you get a real cf hood instead of a hood that just looks like cf, the cheaper hoods on ebay that arent real cf will fade in just a year or 2 and look like crap. so make sure if you go cf you get a good quality hood. just my opinion.

here is the hood i would like to get.. its a cf vented hood by VIS

the price here is $738

but you can get the same one also by VIS on ebay

here..

and its only $560 buy it now price.

but VIS makes other hoods in cf that you may like better and at lower prices then this one.. this is just the one that i would like to get.

You can also just put a UV protective finish on it, thats what I did with mine. It has last me three years with no yellowing or fading, and still looks great.
