alright since i got the car i have been told that when i go wide open throttle it smokes black. when i do that it sometimes bucks then goes, well some times lately i hear a loud clicking. kinda like a valve, but its a little different and its directly on top of the coil pack. so my question has two parts. one, has anyone else had this problem, and two, i have a coild pack off of a 95 gst, i have a 97 gst. they should be a direct swap with no problems right? thanks for your help.

Yes they would swap no problems.. but why would you do that?

Also, what mods are done to the car?

black smoke is just burning oil. It probably does it when you let off the gas after WOT. And the sputtering is probably either bad spark plugs or wires. Could you get a picture of your engine bay

blue smoke is burning oil, black smoke is burning rich and it does it when i start wide open, throttle. my mods are 14b, front mount, hard pipes, cold air, lightwieght flywheel. but it did it even when the car was stock. but what gets me the most is why it ticks so loud almost like it is arching out. but since i already have a coil pack from a 95 gst all i needed is some one to give me a second answer on if they are able to swap
