A $250 ad on? Ok...that is just nuts. So this hole is just nothing without some sort of connector?

I've been so impressed with all the bases the Outlander seemed to cover, I'm shocked at how something as popular as an iPod hook-up could of been over looked. I for one don't want to have to plug my iPod into a backseat connection. There's also no way to download your iPods music that way. I don't burn CD's anymore since I got my iPod. I should be able to plug it into the Nav and have it download or play.

I had the best Pioneer Navi in my '03 with a great iPod hook-up. Everything showed up on the screen and it charged. That's what we need!!!

I think this is just nuts...so many cool features with a huge gap in the iPod department. Um...still looking for the hole under the navi screen answer...hahaha.

My dealer has told me they have an iPod connector available.  It's a $250 add on.

And don't all the Outlanders have the AUX jacks on the back of the center console?  I know the LS and XLS models do.

Back of the center console? Can you elaborate on that at all?

Sure.  At the bottom of the center console in the back (facing the back seats) There's a small black flip cover.  If you flip it up it reveals a composite audio hookup (video too if you have the NAV).   It's kind of hard to see if you have the black interior.  You can buy a cable for about $5 that easily hooks your iPod up to it.  Or you can pay $200 -250 for a dedicated iPod hookup (so we think).  Personally I'd rather have it charge and control it from the NAV screen, so I may bend over and take the iPod hookup.

Yeah, I don't have that because I do not have the nav screen. That hook up is only if you have the nav screen. What I am talking about is that when I hold down the CD button for 3 seconds, my (REGULAR) radio displays AUX, which leads me to believe that there is an input somewhere, probably behind the radio.
