Hi there, I have a mitsubishi mirage 1998 de automatic 1.5L. I would like to swap engine with a 4G63T without changing the tranny, is it possible? By the way, what modifications do I need for the engine swapping? Is it possible to change the automatic gear box to a manual one? If anyone has done this swapping can let me know and show me the links to tools, parts, success stories, I would be appreciated !!!

I know it's possible to swtich the auto trani to a manual. It's just a lot of hard work. But yes that is possible.

There is a shop called Extreme Motorsports that has done this swap with that same car i think. I'm not sure of they're website, but just do a google search and it'll be there. Check it out, but like MENTAL said, it probably will cost a lot. unless you can weld. then you'll save quite a bit of money. but it'll sill be kinda expensive.
