Anyone out there decide to change these fluids on their own? Just curious as to how the factory fills hold up. Im thinkin at 30k just dump them and get some really good stuff.

use ONLY a GL-5 oil in both the transfer case and rear diff. they are suppost to be changed every 30k.

Thats good to hear. On my Escape they are one of those Dont Touch unless there is a problem. Well I dont go for that.

I use Redline 75w90 in my Eclipse rear diff, which complies with API GL-5. You fill it like you would a manual transmission.
