I have a 96 tsi with a t3/t4 hybrid turbo, greddy 24r intercooler, 750cc injectors, B&M command flow fuel pressure regulator, walbro 255 fuel pump, I cannot get my car to build any boost. It starts to hit boost and then stops at 4600 rpm. It is running very rich at an idle, 02's are good MAF is good. I live in Indiana and nobody around here seems to know anything about it. Everywhere I take it they say I am a guinea pig. Any help that you guys can give me is greatly appreciated. Thank you

a couple people have told me that it could be a boost leak, what is a way to test for it? we have had it at greer performance on their dyno and they keep saying that it is running too lean when it tries to build boost. I have a SAFC-II that I am tuning with.

could be your wastegate, boost leak. What does you A/F ratio hit when your hitting boost. Also what boost are you hitting when it stops?

I just bought a new wastegate for it. my a/f ratio on my pillar gauge was showing rich but on the first speed shops dyno it was showing like 23.9%. it would only hit about 2 or 3 pounds of boost. I just got my car back a couple of days ago from the speed shop in columbia city and they said that it was getting way too much fuel. They leaned it down and they said that they had to take about 30% of the fuel away that the first speed shop was putting to it. they also took away some fuel pressure. it seems to be running good so far. I am only running nine pounds of boost for now though. I asked them what kind of horsepower I would gain if I turned the boost up a little on it and they said that it is on average 20 hp per pound of boost is this true? and what is a safe boost level for my car? all the internals are stock.

Please Please get a wideband and get rid fo that POS narrowband A/f guage cuz it tells you nothing. You cant tune with the safc if you dont even know what your car is running at. And dont turn up the boost until you get it cuz if you do you will start to run too lean and could easily damage your engine. I dont even know that i would trust whatever tune they put on your car yet.
