Hey, i am a newbie with my 2004 eclipse gt. My main problem is when i got fast say 180 and hit the brakes to slow down, soft or hard, the car starts shaking. I did the wheel alignment, brought tires, but it styl shakes? is it my brakes? help me out here please?  i was thinking it may be my CV boot.

You have some warped rotors. You didnt take good care of them out of the box did you?

Get yourself some performance rotors... follow the rotor break in proceedure and they will NEVER EVER warp

say from 120 to 160km, mostly on the highway.

I have just purchased this vehicle, i guess its because it was a salvage? thanks for the help, ill go check out rotors and see if dats the problem, any suggestions on how much theyll cost?

So you bought the car on a salvage title?

All rotors have different prices.

yes i bought it on salvage title, got it to rebuilt. bought it for 5g canadian but fixing it was a pain in the a**. came up to 17g in total with airbags etc.
I was going to ask you. on the ownership it says gts and when i checked the vin number it also said gts at www.carfax.com but the car says gt, how do i check if its gt or gts

ye I know. if only there was a physical way of checking if its a gts or a gt, i'd be happy. how does that happen. damnnn

really? that just took my passion towards my car. if i was to sell it how much do u think i can sell a once salvaged vehicle, pretty sure its more then how much i fixed it for? oh well i guess i messed up. but atleast it gets alot of attention down here in toronto.
