Doies anyone know anything about a static/buzzing noise comoing from the radio when you rev the engine in low gears?  I remember having this issue with an old VW scirocco and one fix was wiring a capacitor across the alternator (or something like that, I forget).  Any input towards a solid solution would be greatly appreciated.

Thank!

Check your plug wires or theres a condenser on the distributer for static electricity that might need replaced. I had static on the radio and replaced both and the radios great now has no static at all. This was on my 92 mirage so I don't know about your VW but try the same things.

Do you have after market amps if so it could be alternator whine. Try ground loop isolators on the RCA jacks.
