I am having my driver side airbag disconnected in my 2003 Montero Sport. Has anyone done this? Any problems or things I need to know before starting? I have been told that the disabling kits you get on-line will also disable the airbag light on my dash, yet others have said this will always stay on. Anyone know if you can completely disconnect this light? Thanks for the help!

ORIGINAL: Sebba That dosent disable the airbag though does it. No, it doesn't but I was refering to his comment about also getting the light to shut off when you unpluged the airbag.

The only reason i could ever think of to disable one would be if you were making a show vehicle out of one, or had worn the factory wheel down to the metal, and pulled all the foam of it... then needed to replace it. but even then, i think I would scower the damn junk yards and find a nice used example. as for the show vehicle thing... not likely, it is a montero we are talking about here. then again, he/she could be making a dedicated off road vehicle out of it... but then again, it is a montero...
