ORIGINAL: TheEngineer The best places to go are power wash only and with either air dry or something you have to hand dry. The two types we have here are ones that are at gas stations that do the automated power wash system, and the DIY places that you spray the car down with soap then water. Both work really good. Usually the DIY are way cheaper ya never go to the car washes that use brushes and rollers, dirt from other cars gets trapped in the brushes and will leave swirl marks on your car. use either the diy ones like john said or the laser washes ( the ones that use high pressure water and soap) or just hose it down in your driveway if you can stand the cold. it wont look as pretty but it will get most of the salt of and save you 10 bucks

the touchless car washes are no good. First of all, theyre spraying really high pressure water at your beautiful paint, second, if you dont scrub it, how good can it get cleaned? The best ones are the DIY pull in stations. Your car will love you for giving it a nice bath, instead of a severe spray down.

oh yeah and the drive through car washes suck. If you have any leaks in your car, you get wet, the brushes slam against your antenna, and they just dont get it very dry on the other end.
