Just bought a 2000 Eclipse from a private owner. Its in great shape, but the temprature gauge isnt working!?!? Has anyone run into this problem, and is it easy to fix or locate?

Thanks.

Check the temp sensor in the engine bay.  It's connected to the coolant lines in the engine bay.  I wouldn't think that the interior wiring has gone crazy.  It's usually the outside that goes first.

I would definitly start with the temp sender as well, but if that isn't it the next thing i'd do is make sure the thermostat is not stuck open.

Aftermarket? Original? Check first the sensor silver talks about, if its not it and its an aftermarket it might be the gauge itself
