well i did told them about it and they say they dont have a tsb for it..one of the mechanic said it was normal due to the large mirrors.

Thats BS, yes the mirrors due make some "normal" wind noise due to their size. But the noise created by the little lid has nothing to do with the size of the mirrors, point it out to them and tell them that the little lid is whats making the noise when you hit around 40mph.

Ill look on the invoice from mine and see if theres a part #

The service writer tried to bs me but their "noise" tech knew about the kit or at least thats what I was told by the other writer.

Call Mitusbishi directly then pin the dealer.

Call them and tell them that you are having a whistle from the mirrors and the dealer is not resolving it and you want more info to be able to guide the dealer to the solution.

You could also call another dealer. Its possible the parts person would know about he kit.

No, they should have already been updated from the factory since mid-2007.

My '08 was manufactured in September 2007, and didn't have the factory fix.  Applied OP's fix, and it works like a charm.

The factory fix is slightly different than the DIY fix in the OP; Mitus only added some foam around the two plastic tabs versus padding the big cavity. I did them both on my car and it worked well.

o boy o boy.  here i was thinking that i was the only one with this problem.  anyway, im gonna try the fix described on this site and see if that fixes the buzzing problem.  the other major problem is the wind noise that occurs at 60+.  it would make sense to say its because of the mirror size, but then why doesnt the passenger side make the noise as well?  my thoughts are along the lines of A) the window actuator is improperly closing the window B) the seal around the door isnt properly sealing somehow C) the window seal isnt sealing properly D) the door is miss aligned and needs to be adjusted to seal E) ghosts......whatever the reason, my wife thinks im nuts everytime we drive and I start tinkering trying to pinpoint the noise.  shes fine with it, and just turns up the music to drown it out.  it is her car, so im gonna let it go.......for now.     overall, im still happy with the size, power and benefits the car has considering the price it was, and she chose it over the nissan bugeye.... i mean rogue.
