Gas milage in the Galant is not great in my experience. I managed to get about 27 - 28 hwy (drove from Toronto to Ft. Lauderdale, FL) in my wife's 2003 4 cyl auto. We typically see 22 - 24 around town. We had 4 adults, and luggage etc. on board. This compares to my old 1990 Toyota Camry 2.0L, 4 cyl, 5 spd manual which gave me a consistent 36 - 37 around town, and as much as 48 mpg hwy. Unfortunately miles (450,000 Km - 280,000 mi), and road salt finally killed it :(. But we like the Galant anyway. It has been a good, comfortable and reliable car for us. We purchased it used, with 16,000 Km (9920 mi) on the clock. It is now approaching 100,000 Km (60,000 miles).

If doing a long run, i'll get around 320 Mile from a tank. My normal week of cummuting gets me a round 275 miles.# Tanks seems to hold 45 litres. HTH Ant
