Just bought a 1997 Montero Sport LS with leather and all the good stuff for $3k. Needless to say, I'm extremely happy with my purchase other than a few minor issues which I plan to sort out VERY soon. I just replaced all 4 shocks and plan on replacing the stereo system, the tires, adding a roof rack, and anything else I can think of.

After replacing the shocks, there's still a bit of a squeak up front and it still rides pretty rough. Not sure if I have a busted leaf spring or not. Any ideas would be fantastic. Anyway, just wanted to say what up and introduce myself. I don't know much about Montero Sports, but if you have any questions about replacing shocks, let me know. I went through every possible thing that could go wrong aside from the jack giving way and crushing me.
