ok so i've had this god damn car for a year and just now got the engine in and i have the turbo kit for it but i just hooked the stock exhaust system up to it since it was alreddy hangin there from when the engine was taken out just so i could try and start it real quick so it cranks but it cranks kinda slow but it wont start could the stock exhaust be holding back to much air since it has the stage3 crower cams? and the fuel pump it working fine i took the sending line off of the rail and turned the key and it sprayed fuel and i thought for a minute it wasnt getting spark but then couple of times it poped as in fired and tryed to start and also i have the urthadocks cam pullys and the timing is set dead center like the stock setting could that cause it not to start? one of the main worrys is that it cranks slow i was wondering if thats making it not start but i saw another 420a start and it cranked pretty slow befor the start to the cars just pissing me off though because i've put so much work into and its yet to move anywhere if anybody has any ideas on how to get this bitch started let me know please

get your number 1 cylinder to TDC and allign your timing marks on your cam gears up.  put your timing belt back on and that will tell us if it's the timing or not... because that's what it sounds like to me also.

Take your cam cover (the hex peep hole) off and put your #1 piston to TDC then see if your timed correclty.  If not, then do what RCJR said and start from the beginning with the belt off.
