This may sound retarded to some of you, but I'm a bit of a picky bastard. My 1997 Montero Sport rode like a log truck. I felt every bump, crack, and pothole in the road. I decided the cheapest attempt at fixing to start with would be my shocks, so I replaced all 4. After that, the ride improved slightly, at best. I still have a squeak when I hit bumps in the front. I believe that it's coming from the driver side front.
Questions:
1. Do all montero sports ride rough? Is there another vehicle that it could be comparable to? I've ridden in work trucks smoother than this.
2. Does anyone else have a squeaky front end on their Monty Sport?
3. Does anyone else love their Montero Sport as much as I do? They are freakin sweet!
Any and all input/thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. And if anyone has any questions about changing shocks on a 1997 Montero Sport, fire away, anything that could go wrong, did.
