Can Anyone here please give instructions on installing a Manual boost controller? I recently bought my 97 GST and the Original owner gave me a Manual Boost Controller that he had bought, but never got around to installing it.its got all the hoses anf fittings but no instructions. Please let me know whats a safe boost for a nearly stock engine i was told i could go safely to 15lbs from the stock 12lbs. Is this true?

alright first off, does it have an aftermarket blow off valve or is it the stock black plastic one? if it is, there is no real point in turning up the boost because that bov will just leak. Also, do you have an aftermarket boost gauge? if not, dont even bother installing the boost controller because it is unsafe to do so without a gauge (not the stock POS). Lastly, if you can get me a picture or a brand name of the mbc that would be nice. most times you will take a vacuum line from the waste gate to the "side" of the mbc and another line from the bottom of the mbc to the turbo. you should see a small vaccum line coming off the turbo and going to the waste gate (round bass colored thing on the side of the turbo). The mbc just goes inbetween them

go to www.vfaq.com and look under i think turbo or something and there should be a good write-up on installing a MBC. But like he said you need a boost guage. And the stock BOV can handle 15psi (which is the max i would say to run) so your fine with that.
