The RE XXX subs are a high output / sound quality sub that falls in line with the W7's from JL, the 9500's from MTX  and the car audio line of Adire audio.  The RE subs have a really long X-max, (@ 50mm I think) that will allow it to play a low frequency without cone breakup from over excurision.  The sub is only 83.7 db's at 1 watt, you will need a ton of power to get this thing to move.  This is a high quality sub, no doubt about it, but the most important part of this sub will be the right enclosure and how you load ( cabin gain ) it in your car.
**  This sub and the enclosure will weight better than 100 pounds, just something to keep in mind.  You can go to a web site called Realm of Excursion to see videos of the RE XXX throw.
