I'm thinking of buying a 2003 Galant, as of now I'm driving 1997 Sunfire.  Had a few problems with it this summer and i really want to get rid of it before it falls apart.

Now i read a lot of reviews and generally they are good.....anybody here has 01-03 Galant ?  Any tips as to what i should look for or any thoughts on the car?

I know people who run dealership that has them and as of now they have 5 Galants.....  check out the link  (BTW prices are in Canadian Dollars and millage is in KM not miles)

The Galant is a good car and easy to maintain if you find one for a good price just call a dealership with the vin number and ask them to do a search on the car for recalls and history , if the car was totaled and has a reconstructed title you may not find that out until you take it for a warranty claim and get turned down

I absolutely LOVE my Galant. It has been an excellant car, 4 cyl that drives like a 6, or better! I have taken this car to 140 mph many times, and it handles curves NO prob.

The one time when I did have mechanical trouble, it was easy on the budget. First trouble with nearly 98,000 miles on it~ now THAT'S a good car!!

I use mine as a family car, and it has never let us down. The WORST thing for a Mom is to have a car full of  kids and car trouble! This has been a great car and well worth it's cost. I bought it new off the showroom floor, didn't want fancy, but got alot of nice options included even in the lowest model. I have family members with other more expensive, so called nicer cars, that do not have these neat little things on there cars.

Mine is a 96, so I can't say anything about the newer models. My brother in law had a 3000GT and a 98 Galant. Loved them both, but had minor tranny problems with the Galant.

I will not part with my car, but may look at Mitsubishi again for another.

Happy driving,

Honeybean

I have a 2000 Galant and I love it!  I don't like how the front end looks on the new ones, but that's just me.
