I have a 97 eclipse and the rear speakers are awfull sounding. After recently replacing rear 6X9's in a camaro i thought it would be a breeze again. So i cruised down to Circuit City and picked up the 6X9 infinities of coarse. They said they should fit fine in my model car. So when i open the panel up, what is in there is not exactly a 6X9 and my new infinites are too deep. Now, Infinity knows that there speakers are deeper than most, and they actually came with a face plate sort of thing for you to cut out and install so it has more room. But, it's impossible to mount the speaker to whats there, (and this is right up next to the rear wheel wells), and i can't cut a little oval section for Infinities little mesh pop-out, when my car allready has a mesh thing much larger than that. I have to resort to swapping for Pioneer speakers and MAYBE rigging them to mount up somehow, or continue listening to what ever is in there. Hasent anyone ran into this problem and came up with a solution? Thanks

Hey man, what you need to do is go to your local stereo shop. They have a huge database on what will work and what won't. Even though I drive a 3kgt, my best friend had this problem. I think he ended up puting a pair of alpine type-s in there.
