Hey whats up everyone...I have a quick question for you guys. I know that the GST and GSX came with turbos, but what where the model #'s on them (the turbos themselves). Im not really that much of a Mitsubishi guy anymore since I blew my engines couple years back. Need to get back into the Mitsu game... But I need to know because someone had sold me a turbo kit with an OEM Eclipse turbo, and didnt bother telling me that it needs to be either a) rebuilt or b) replaced because its leaking internally....So when I the kit on my car, she smoked like mad crazy. And all they can tell me is that they dont remember which one, but that it was one of the smaller ones. So if ya'll could help me out, that would be awesome! Thanks

Well, the stock turbos are the T25. And if its the smaller one its prolly that one. But the 1st gen turbo dsm's came with the 14b turbo.. Does the turbo have any numbers on it? Hopefully its not an upgraded one from those.. Those turbos are easy to find and cheaper..

Well I just talked to the guy that sold me the kit, and he says he believe it is a 28g turbo. Ive googled 28g, looked it up, blah blah blah. But I cant find anything on the "28g." Is there such a turbo?

hey may be talking about a t28 b/c i've never heard of a 28g either. i've heard of a 20g. but a t28 is not a stock turbo. there's really no need to rebuild the turbo. you'll spend more money doing that than buying a new one. and if i were buying a turbo i definatly would not buy a stock one again. if you want some power out of ur car but still want it daily driver get a Evo Big 16g it can put you up to about 350whp with suporting mods and good tune.
