Or it could be your dog, cat, and worst, kids. I've heard horror stories about it, and I personally ran over my puppy a few years back. I'm glad the poor thing didn't die, and just suffered leg fractures. Although I would agree the Outlander has a bigger field of view compared to my wife's 03 CR-V, but still, there's a good amount of space below the rear glass we can't see. But well, I haven't really "wanted" it but just the thought of adding it is nice, since that
could be possible.

Now you wont have an excuse when you flatten a neighbors yappy dog or like you said their annoying kid playing in your driveway.

What happen to the good old days when people looked before they backed up? Technology is making us sooooo lazy.

Dude, this one time, I was at my parents, and they had just gotten a new kitten. well I went to leave, had my middle daughter in the car, and all the sudden I heard this nasty clump, clump, grind noise... Looked in my rear-view, saw the kittin flying though the air... My daughter freaked... LOL, pretty funny now though...

Seems like your going to need back up cameras in front of you under you and on top of the car. I once hit a dog driving but he ran in the road when I was doing 25. He was smaller than a cat.

LOL, I know right...

I just picked up my loaded '07 Outlander this weekend, and a backup camera is high on my list.  I refuse to pay someone else a boat load of cash to install it.  I have tons of electonics experience, and have no issues tearing into my dash, or cutting into wires.

What ever happened with this?  Did we find out which wires to connect the camera to?  I don't have access to schematics, and I would hate to fry something trying things...

thanks!

Scott

So it comes on automatically with reverse, correct?

You used the Pioneer camera?

Are you happy with the performance?

Have you used any other stock systems?

Thanks!

Scott

The Pioneer works great....I've seen some stock cameras and they seem to be the same.
