Could someone please tell me what electric boost controllers are and what do they do? . . . Well obviously they controller your boost; I guess what I would like to know is why would you want to controller it. Why wouldn't you just want the max boost you can get all the time? Thank for the help, I can't seem to find any info on them besides where they can be bought.

basically it over rides the stock setting. Without it you cant run anything more than stock.
A manual one will do the same.. only that would be under the hood.

Oh ok, that makes sence. . . So things like exhausts, intakes, boost gauges, and wideband guages don't need it, I'll just need one once I install a tubo upgrade kit, right?

Thats right...
You can get one now and turn the boost up a little to 16. Stock is about 12. Thats a decent power increace

Ok cool, thanks for your help, Sebba.

Obviously you would have to get a boost gauge before that.
Malachi -> RE: EBC's? (3/26/2007 11:12:43 PM)
Why?. . . To see what PSI I'm at?
Sebba -> RE: EBC's? (3/26/2007 11:45:43 PM)
Yeah.
How can you turn the boost upto 16psi if you dont know where you are at?

Id say just get a guage and a MBC. Its alot less money and works just as good.
