ok i have a ssq blow off valve on my evo and the other day i was coming from work and a rsx came fast behind me so i step on the gas and i didnt look but i was boosting kinda high. but as soon as i hit 80 mph, it stop going up, but then if i dont step on the gas too much it would keep going up. and after that, when i got off the high way, i would punch my car and it would sound like i am boosting alot but my car wouldnt even pick up speed and i cant even hear the blow off sound any more. any help with this.

You have to find the leak.

Check out vfaq.com and look for the boost leak tester. Also, google search boost leak tester. You can either make one.. or buy one. That will tell assist you in finding the leak.

If this happend just after you installed the bov i would check around the base of it.. see if its loose.

Also, is the BOV recirculated or vented?

yeah this happened the day that i installed it. and it is not recirculated

Well recirculate it for a start.

Ok, im willing to bet there is a leak right around where you installed the BOV then.

I might have popped off and IC pipe\hose.  I have done that and the car hardly runs though.  Otherwise teh SSQ is very picky on the Evo even being recircd they tend to make the car stumble like its vented.  Mine does that and it pisses me off.  I got a quetion though... If your venting it you did remember to plug teh intake hole right?  because if you didnt then it ill make you run crazy lean at WOT and that is badd
