the guys in concord are actually really nice. my montero was dead when I first got it from my parents and i had to ask for the code after I got it running again. what sucked was I put too many codes in that were wrong. my step dad gave me the wrong code so I was up a creek with out a paddle. so...call the concord, ca mitsubishi they are nice guys.

sorry, you have to press the program button afterward, if you do it too many times it will lock up on you, then you have to leave the key in the ignition for an hour in "ACC" mode for it to unlock again.

The radio in my 98 Eclipse is also locked.  I have the code but the "shop guy" input it incorrectly numerous times and it locked "OFF".  Will the 1 hr with ACC switch on reset my radio.  I sure hope so, and I'll do the code this time since I have the instructions!!!! Thanks.

yes leaving it for an hour in that mode will reset it and allow for you to try it again
