When I got my 96 rs I put a cold air ntake on. Then I did a heaer back exhast w/ heat wrap. Then upgraded the sprk plugs and wires. Lastly I put a custom sub and amp in the back and lowered the car 2"
Check out my side for some ideas http://www.cardomain.com/id/just10thegr8

On a non turbo CAI and exhuast is always a good start. Depending on how far you want to go with the engine you may want to save your money and just get a turbo setup. Plan it out as to where you want to end up then you won't spend money on parts you don't need or won't use for more than a year or two.

Personal preference: I prefer to the look of the 97-99 style factory fascia and headlights. But if you plan on doing a body-kit....well, that would look cool too. Who's your sponsor gonna be?

If you wanna do appearance keep the stock body and just do a really nice deep paint job and do up the engine up. To anyone who's a real car person will look at the paint, and a really deep single color job can make a car like ours look so nice. Those cars that are real low key but nice, and have a built engine are so nice.

YO! Right up your alley: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7942358562

I had the CAI, headers, and was going to have these cams installed but i totaled my car..... SucKS bIg TiME! You can probably pick these up cheap - i need whatever money i can get to repair my car, so bid on em while they're cheap. These are awesome cams, I paid $425 for em (was going to get em installed for $90 though :) )

These, plus some heads and a CAI would give you a NICE noticable power gain

And i'd suggest doing this: install what you can, but everything you can't (such as these cams) buy em now and get a couple things installed at once - it'll save a lot on install when taking it to a shop.

Thanks, and good luck w/ your car

(OOps - forgot to mention they are Crane Cams, Stage II)
