After taking this car off the market for awhile, it is back up for sale. Great collector's car.

$42,000? thats almost sticker price for a brand new one in 1999. the year now is 2006, which makes it a 7 year old car. good luck selling it, your gonna need it in order to sucker someone into buying it.

Several people can't seem to grasp the concept of rarity or value of collectibles or the terms "asking" and "negotiable". In any case, I have several seriously interested leads currently, but I appreciate the well wishes.

Once you sell it please let me know what it sells for. You will never get that for it... unless they are totally stupid.

ok... this is a xtremely rare car.... if u look up the production numbers fer a 1999 3000 gt VR4 there was ONLY 45 MADE IN THE WORLD.... so i could see the collectible value behind it ... but if it was mine.. id park it under a car cover in da garage n wait .. cant do nuffin but come up in value :)

tidus10 -> RE: FS: 1999 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 (7/16/2006 11:09:22 PM)

u say 45..yahoo says 33....

and as far as the 40K+ i have looked around so i wasnt jumping the gun before i critisize... i have 3 cases which i looked at where this 'exact' modle was sold for $20,500-$25,000 and brand new it stickerd for $44,000...and sorry to say it but on here we're not a retail buyer... we're mainly auction block buyers...and since your a dealer you knwo what i'm talkin about

1999VR4 -> RE: FS: 1999 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 (7/16/2006 11:32:46 PM)

I've found several different production figures for this car, but in any case it's very low. There are not many '99 VR-4s around and even fewer with this kind of low mileage. I'm curious to know how many miles were on the cars that sold for low-mid 20s. I'm guessing at least 50,000 miles. At the current odometer reading of less than 7k miles, I've already received several offers in the mid-$30k range. It's pointless to argue about "value" since book values are meaningless on collector cars and the true value of any item for sale is whatever someone is willing to pay for it.
