Help!  O'k i need some advice from some people that actually knows what they are talking about.  I have a 1991 Mitsubishi eclipse 2.0 dohc.  A beautiful car and excellant shape but i am now having transmission problems.  The car runs fine in 1st second and third gear but it will NOT change to forth etc... any advice????

does it just rev up in 4th and 5th? my asshole firnds took my old nissan and took it for a ride, needless to say, neither of them could drive standand and messed it up real bad...1st. 2nd, and 3rd worked great, but as soon as i shifted into 4th, it quit pulling and just revved up, same with 5th.  i took it to my mechanic and he took a look. they cracked the pressure plate and the clutch, what ever was left, fell out in ashes...i was jackd....but that was my delemia.  that could be your too, but if you can drive it then i don't know
