So I thought I would pop by and say hello. =]

Anyone know something that will take the grime and whatnot off my engine? I've got a carshow to enter, but it's filthy under the hood. =[

Yes you can get engine degreaser just about any place.

Word of advice, if you plan on just pressure washing the engine bay then i suggest covering the fuse box and removing the battery. I know you might thing im being stupid but some people are dumb enough not to.

That engine degreaser works good...  I just used some on my s10 yesterday, and I was taking about 1/4 of an inch of oil off that block...   It was bad!!    Cleans it up really good though..   Welcoem to the forums btw!

If you do use the pressure washer though with that stuff make sure you let the engine run after to dry it off cause soakin a engine regardless of the fuse box or battery being covered up is very bad for it so make sure you let it dry

Hey, what would take the black **** off my chrome muffler?

1991stang -> RE: Just joined =] (4/21/2007 2:28:55 PM)

Maybe a brillow pad and water Or maybe some Wax and Tar remover

Dusty Eclipse -> RE: Just joined =] (4/21/2007 2:32:01 PM)

It looks kinda like tar. Or somethin... so that would prolly work

If you wanted to use something to take it off besides the brillo pad try using some Oops! or Goo gone liquid. Worked for me, just make sure you wipe off all excess with a rag or something.
