Hello everyone, I'm a n00b to this forum, and yes, I know what the search button is. I am pretty sure that I'm going to buy an outlander this week. We have driven everything out there in this class, and this is by far the best bang for the buck. I did a search and found tons of info about people shopping for the 07's, but I didn't get any specific numbers for sale price. I want a 4WD XLS with the ""luxury" package and the "sun and sound". I'm on the fence about the nav, so let's leave it out of the equation for now. How much should I expect to pay this time of year in 07? I imagine the 08's are on the way, meaning the prices of the 07's are maybe a bit more negotiable...am I wrong to assume this? What's reasonable? Are they still getting MSRP? Invoice? Thanks in advance for your input, and I hope to become a fellow useful forum member!

Bought my XLS AWD base in March for $100 below invoice.
Very little haggling involved; probably could have gotten a few hundred more off invoice.

Nice to know. Do you mind letting me know what options you got, and what your final price was(excluding taxes and dealer fees, but including the destination fee)?

Because "Dealer Invoice" is not etched in stone, I'll give the following details the sake of clarity:

SoCal
MSRP $30,615
I paid $29,093 before taxes/tags
3.9% financing on 48 months

I got about $1,000 more than I was expecting for my trade-in.
I did not qualify for the recent graduate or military incentives.

I just bought through the Costco program. It's simply $500 over invoice and they refer to the invoice price on Edmunds.com. No haggling that way. I got the 2 wheel drive XLS with NAV, Sport/Sun, and luxury packages.

Very useful info...do you have the XLS with leather, sunroof, and nav? Or did you opt out of one of those packages?

Nicely done! If I can get that kind of a deal, I want the nav system too! Did you qualify for any rebates or are you just a good negotiator?
