Ok, so lets say one could get a hold of a convertible DSM, could they just (in short) remove the soft top and its components (retractor motor and all) remove the trunk lid and weld a hard top in its place then cut a targa in? Im sure theres more to it, but you get what I mean...

lol, it couldnt be worse than putting a 4g63 in a 420a frame LMAO... Seriously though, I feel as if it would be rather rewarding.. though if I tried it myself it would end up looking like this in the end...

Here's more pics of that 2G Targa. http://www.twingles.com/ideck/ That is a lot of reinforcing just to have a targa top IMO. Even after putting in a roll cage, the body can still twist because the structures stress point has been moved from the roof to the floor and without a frame the floor will still twist....this is commented towards the AWD trims btw...this is also the same for the AWD converted Spyder(s).
