the new engine or the old engine or both are 6 bolts?  is sounds like the motor isnt blown oil and antifreeze in the cyl usually means the headgasket let go

it is blown, number 1,2,3 cyl be down while number 4 be up and it wont crank over far at all ( by hand of course) the rod is broke, both blocks are 6 bolts. it wasnt beat to death it has 123,000 miles on it.
what worries me though is that i need the oil pump off the blown one for the good one, a new oil pump up here cost me over 300 buxx for it and i cant afford that right now. sorry for the confusion the crank case was full of oil and the radiator was full of antifreeze.

i agree with  emonz. it does sound to me like a head gasket. Have you done a leakdown test to see if it is the engine? Have you pulled to oil pan to check for shavings or anything?

pulled the pan and the rod is broke, i think the last owner over revved it one to many times, theres no antifreeze or oil in the cylinder, plus when number 1,2,3 cylinders are down dont that mean something broke?, when number 4 is up?
