I have a 95 gsx (obviously). Well it has about 145k miles on it. I was wondering if I should start rebuilding the engine, and if so what should i do? Or should I start modifying it. Because i want to start off getting a bigger turbo, but i dont know if i should rebuild the engine first. Please help.

If you're planning on putting time and money into it you're much better off starting with a solid platform. If you can rebuild your engine, have it machined and done right. If you can't be without your car for that long look for a block at a junkyard and have all the work done to that then you can have something to put in when it's finished and you can take your time with it.

A compression amd a LeakDown will tell you what you need to know. I know MANY 150K engines that are pushing the limits everyday. Many have been since pre100k.

Get it properly checked over. It is time for a T-Belt and Pulley change, while you are at it get a nice metal multi-layer HG installed (there is alot in this just ask if you are interested otherwise it will be useless banter), and some ARP headstuds.

If you are planning of only going with an S-AFC or the likes and are not wanting the Eprom you have let me know. I will purchse it from you at a reasonable price.

I just pulled a motor out of one of my GSXs that had 230k miles on it. It was boosted every day at 16 to 18 psi. Ran grade untill the day I pulled the motor out.
