Car looks nice and clean. It is a shame the engine died.

You can't swap in a 4G63T engine in the 420a bay without ALOT of money and parts. The trannys are different, the wiring harness is diferent. That alone is enough to make most people shy away from it. I woud venture to say you would need about 5K worth of parts to get the engine in the car.

As for the 420a, there are MANY in the junk yards. See what you need from the car and maybe you can just get by with a used shortblock. Then rebuild and refresh it. Or that vould just be the option for you if it is just a piston or something that did not throw the block out of spec too much.

I lost my engine in my GS also! But I took it to the Mitsubishi Dealership and they switched out the whole Longblock for only 3000! I know it sounds like alot of money but if you have it, its worth it! My car runs brand new now! Hope this helps!!That way you wont have to worry about buying another engine that will mess up on you further down the road! And it would cost alot of money to put a GS-t 4G63 engine in your car! The engine sits a 180degrees from the way yours sits! AYou'd be better off buying an aftermarket turbo and youd have alot more power and power options that way! Peace

If you do what eclipse4ever01 said but dont have that amount of cash go to a local macinest they will do the motor work for about half that but you have to take the motor out and put it back in. I did this to my old truck the motor was going i went and got it emissions and got like a 2.42 on carbons and hydrocarbons after replacing the motor it was clear down to .01 and .02. and ran like a raped ape.

Thats not a bad idea! I just didn't feel like taking out a foreign engine and putting a new one in! That would be pretty damn time consuming! I just had them do it ! I got the engine and had them put it in for like 3200 dollars! And it was a Japan Direct engine, so it came with really good pistons and stuff like that!

Its not bad because these forign cars you can drop the whole front end motor tranny all of it by unbolting about 15 easy access bolts.

Check them out, they sell a lot of good stuff including full blocks from street to full race (real race not APC race).
