If you got the cash, do it. If you are stretching it then wait. Not to mention you can sell your head and bottom end as it is so that will remove some of the cost.
AMS has the bottom end not the shortblock or longblck.   so I would get the parts and build the motor here in our garage and build my stock head they way i was planning in the first place

Basically next friday I was going to order my clutch which im going with the Exedy twin disc which is $1600.  I found the AMS bottom end stuff for sale for I think it was $2000 so i might just hold off on the clutch and go ahead and get the bottom end.   Cause by the time I get the 2.3L stuff in my block and all together ill have the $$$$ for the clutch too.  BUT I really wasnt planning on building up the block untill next spring because I was hoping to get rims and an FQ lip and CF hood and get the car re sprayed next winter but I guess that is not an important

Oh and im the first to say it.   that is why there is nothing on my car for looks.  every dime has gone to performence and the bottom end is not that huge of a deal for my car YET untill I get a 35r or bigger but since the motor has some odd scoring in it the idea came up to stroke it while its apart now and since evey thing is already out and the motor is only about an hour or two away from being pulled out I might as well do it now.   It is more for securtiy IMO because it would be better than in a month or two blowing it up and having to take it all aprat again.   Plus then the bottom is ready for some HIGH PSI and 600+ HP is not out of reach just a turbo away pretty much
