I've been carrying my tools in many different vans for years and I can assure you the Outie is perfect for me, "space is enormous for UK light van, taligate lifts high no more stooping down, also side doors, no more back ache from climing in from the back where there's no side access. I can also swing my generator onto the projected tailgate without fear of taking the rear tail light with it. If you meant carrying rubble etc I can understand what you mean but for me it's just to get me and my equipment to the job, couldn't be better! You sure you don't want one? With the extra space you could swap that gun under your tray for a misile. lol

I see what you mean Z, but for the money, its just not worth it, at least with all the other options we have in the states. Sure you will be rolling to work in style, but I'm not sure the outlander is the best platform for a commercial vehicle, not many industries would choose it for them, at least here in the states, due to the cost. They could get something else bigger and cheaper.

I'm right with you there as to whether the cost is being worth it or not, it's the same here too in the UK, there won't be too many people buying them just to go to work for sure, the hardcore off-road Mitsu's yes but I don't think the outie. I myself could go get something much cheaper which would do the same job but you know what my problem there is? I'm the kind of fool who'll have a practical van for work and also an expensive car at home sitting on my driveway doing nothing for 95% of the year with me finding the lamest of excuses to drive it, done it too many times before often keeping them for less than a year and I never learn, I can't help it I'm into my cars too much. At least now I don't feel guilty about my Outies purpose and I most definately won't need to sell it off due to cob web accumulation. Outie's here to stay!
