Hello All
Well this weekend i installed my Apexi Auto Timer (turbo timer) on my 90 GSX. This timer reads batt voltage, A/ F ratio, and o2 voltage as well as a turbo timer. I install it according to their instructions. I went out and got a harness but since Apex doesnt make one for my car (or i cant find it) i used a HKS, which plugs in EXACTLY the same. The timer turns on and the A/F, o2, and timer all display, but when i turn off the engine the timer wont begin countdown. I did all the troubleshooting they recomend several times. I tried the parking brake bypass by hard wiring it to a ground. Nothing. What is strange is that even after i remove the key from the ignition the timer stays on, it wont count down, but it still displays all the data.
Does anyone out there have this timer on their car? Have you run across this problem? Is there a difference in the HKS harness vs. Apexi? ANY ideas? Because after spending 4 hours installing and troubleshooting a project that should have taken an hour TOPS im out of ideas and patience.
Oh, and by the way, i called the APEXi help line. Yeah, no help. They heard HKS and wouldnt even LISTEN to any of my questions. They dont sell a harness, But if i hard wire the timer they wont waranty it.
I'm one step away from selling all my APEX parts.

The harness is HKS, and it splices into the ignition harness. with three wires, red, blue, black.  The red one provides the power.  Does anyone have a turbo timer?  If so how did you wire your ignition wires?  Is IG1 and IG2 spliced together?  Is IG2 spliced with the power?
