wow, that's just rediculous, no car is worth 1200/month in insurance other than some exotic.     i think the way it works is in brackets, i've been driving on my own since 15 (i had a very circomstantial bday and drivers ed course so i was fully licensed at 15)  and had drivers ed.       drivers ed only stayes on ur record for 3 years though then it gets thrown away like a speeding ticket.   so i've been driving for 5 years now, if i were to get an EVO IX right now it would be 160/month for full coverage.   now in September, it will put me at 6 years of driving, good drivers award for no accidents tickets etc., and my 21 yr old insurance drop that everybody gets.    so it puts me to about 90/month for full coverage.        this is only due to a clean driving record, 6 years experience and good policy along w/ homeowners insurance discount, and multiple car discount.     w/ just the IX under my name w/ HO insurance it would be 120/month

Jeez guys, Im paying like $1550 for a year, using Wawanesa in CA.  Ive got a couple discounts for good driver, security system, and long term customer.  Oh and Im 27, with no tickets on record any more.  Probably helps.
