I have read about the Evo MIEV: http://paultan.org/archives/2005/08/25/mitsubishi-lancer-evolution-miev/
Most big companies like Toyota and Honda have introduced hybrid models, why has mitsu fallen behind on this? I understand that mitsu is a performance driven automaker, but a nice alterantive fuel or hybrid car wouldnt hurt their sales, specially if they put a "sports" touch to it. What do you guys know or think of the matter?

I think practically the same as you.... it could be that its delaying its entry to the energetic race to a stablished environmental fuel, and as soon as one is standarized over the world theyre just gonna let go, thats my crazy idea, but after reading this i think theyre just waiting to get the right product to beat everyone in mpg and fuel dependancy

Hahaha yeah thats how it should work haha, im studying business (not a pro) so we kinda get a insight view of how companies handle new products, trying to figure out the tactics is a bitch though, but thats my idea

Mitsu is waiting untill the become profitable.  Most other auto makers are lossing money on hybrids right now.  The 08 Raider with the V8 is flex fuel.(gas or E85).

Yeah, but then again any engine can be easilly modified to run on e85. Alot of people steriotype hybrids as being non performers and underpowered cars, if mitsu made a nice sports hybrid, I'm sure it would sell good.

It would sell, but would it sell enough to make money.  All the other auto makers are loosing money on hybrids right now.

I run mine on an alternative with ease. It requires no change. The performance has not changed apart from the fuel consumption has gone down a little. All that was needed was a fuel filter change.

What do I use? 100% EN14214 grade Biodiesel.
