Hey everyone, Only eleven days away now! We are up to 145 cars on the list. The current list is at: http://www.mn3s.org/cookout-list.html If you are planning on coming to the All Mitsu Cookout, here are a few things to remember: 1) Sign-up online. The page is at: http://mn3s.org/lists/?p=subscribe&id=5 2) If you have Paypal, send me your $5 registration to cgendron@mail.com (no credit cards please) 3) Fill out your car sign ahead of time. Its saves a lot of time in the registration line. Download the sign at: http://www.mn3s.org/car-sign.doc And my example sign can be found here: http://www.mn3s.org/car-sign-curt.doc Once again, here are the classes for the show this year: Best 90-94 DSM Best 95-99 DSM Best 00-05 Eclipse/Stratus coupe Best 91-93 3/S Best 94-99 3/S Best Evo Best Classic Mitsu (89 and older) Best Other Mitsu The "Gene Helms" Cleanest Car Overall And finally, we are going to have a little fun competition this year. We are going to have a slow drags race. Two lines will be drawn in the parking lot. (40 feet apart) The objective will be to go from one line to the next as slowly as possible without stopping or hitting your brakes. Those with really soft clutch pedals will have good cars for this race. We'll probably do the slow drags around 2:30pm. So practice driving like a granny. ;) later, Curt

Hey everyone, The All Mitsu Cookut is right around the corner. Its this Sunday! We've had a big surge in sign ups. We have 162 cars signed up now. Thats great! If you are still planning on coming, its not to late to sign up. If you are coming to the Cookout, here are some reminders: 1) Sign-up online. The page is at: http://mn3s.org/lists/?p=subscribe&id=5 2) If you have Paypal, send me your $5 registration to cgendron@mail.com (no credit cards please) 3) Fill out your car sign ahead of time. Its saves a lot of time in the registration line. Download the sign at: http://www.mn3s.org/car-sign.doc And my example sign can be found here: http://www.mn3s.org/car-sign-curt.doc 4) Bring some lawn chairs for hanging out and bring your appetite! We'll have plenty of food. Also, if you are just coming to spectate, there is a seperate spectator lot on the back side of the school. So don't turn at the stop light at the school. Go past that and take your next right and go behind the school. The lot behind the school is for specators. The front lot is for participants. Thanks, Curt

Hey everyone, The All Mitsu Cookout is upon us. Only 48 hours away now! We've got 174 sign ups. I'm sure that will climb a little more. And even if you get up on Sunday and decide, "Jeez, I should go to that Cookout thingy", you can still show up the day of the show and register and pay. We can handle walk ups. When you get to the Rogers Middle School, turn right at the stoplight. That front lot is for the participants. If you are coming just to spectate, or you don't have a Mitsu, you should park in the spectator lot. So drive past the stoplight and take the next right. The lot behind the school is for spectators. Here is a map to help: http://mn3s.org/cookout-map.jpg As I mentioned before, we'll be doing a slow drags competition around 2:30pm. Anyone can enter. You try and go from one point to another as slow as you can without stopping or hitting the brakes (e-brake included) Longest time wins a t-shirt. We'll ask for a $2 fee to enter the slow drags. Should be a lot of fun. You can still pre-pay me the $5 registration fee. Send a paypal to cgendron@mail.com If you don't have paypal, don't sweat it. Just pay at the show. Also, you can be prepared by making your car sign before the show. And bring a lawn chair for hanging out. The weather is looking great too. The Cookout goes from 11am to 4pm this Sunday. Get ready for the biggest and best All Mitsu Cookout yet!! later, Curt

Hey everyone, We had an awesome turnout for the All Mitsu Cookout with 166 cars! I want to thank all my hard working volunteers. The Cookout has gotten so huge, I couldn't even come close to pulling this off without your help. Steve, Andy, Mike W, Ryan T, Chris D, Flip, DJ, April, and Sam. You were all a HUGE help. Even people like Shawn, Derek Hayes, and Josh, came over and helped with little things. Thank you all. Also a big thanks to our sponsors Brookdale Mitsubishi and LSE Performance. The Cookout would not be so cheap without there support. I've got my Cookout page finished. It has all the trophy winners and some pics. The page is at: http://mn3s.org/cookout2007/index.htm Some other people's pictures: http://www.scheides.com/gallery/mitsu-cookout-2007 http://photos.digitalspeed.org/v/cookout2007 Thanks, Curt

I think I recognize that kitted Avenger too, lol. It looks like there WAS a good turnout! quote:
ORIGINAL: Dusty Eclipse Well you know, I REALLY hope I can get one of the two of these ****ing cars running for this event... or maybe just buy another one. ANd Silver, Ive ALWAYS been under the impression that you did that conversion yourself, lol... Sorry for the late response, but I didn't see this until now. No sir, I had the conversion done by Jason (aka JasonLee/Jason Shakelton) from Redefined Rides. I gave him and his shop props on page 4 of my CarDomain site at the very top of that page If I had the time and tools to have done it, I would have. Back then, I thought the swap was a difficult one. Now, I realize that all I really needed was a TIG welder for tools (because I have everything else) and time which I didn't have because of my 2 year old (now 3.5 years old). I had the conversion done for me, but now all the work a DSM motor needs I do, lol. I've never told anyone that I did that conversion. I've always been truthful about that and gave Jason all the credit anytime someone asks. Anyway, sorry for the confusion.
